 | Lafuma RSXA Recliner in Seigle (Rye) for just £119.99
Seigle is French for rye, and most people refer to this colour as "oatmeal" or "biscuit" - apart from a misguided few who insist on calling it "seagull". It is made in the water-resistant Batyline fabric, with foam padded armrests. This is the right recliner for anyone looking for light, natural, subdued tones. It is not padded, but there is a lot of give in the fabric - so people say it is just as comfortable as the green. Also, it is very slightly lighter.

What is the difference... ...people often ask us, between the padded (RSX) and Batyline (RSXA) fabric on the recliners? In terms of comfort, very little. Some people prefer to have the inch or so of padding, some prefer the stretch of the Batyline fabric - it's about a 50:50 split in terms of numbers of people who have a preference. The real difference is in how resistant to water the fabrics are, and therefore how easy to clean. Before they are exported to us, the padded recliners have to be treated to meet UK fire retardance regulations. This means that you do not want to get them wet, as there is a chance they may develop tidemarks like salt stains. The Batyline mesh fabric, on the other hand, is water resistant, and therefore more versatile and much easier to clean. Right now you are looking at the RSXA recliners: click here for the RSXs.  | Lafuma RSXA Recliner in Forest
For years people were asking about getting recliners in green colour, but in the Batyline mesh fabric, and for years Lafuma kept refusing to make any in the fire-resistant models that they export to the UK. So eventually, back in 2006, they introduced a green mesh recliner! This will make the ideal choice for anyone who likes the sensible dark green colour, but wants the advantages of the wipe-down water-resistant Batyline fabric. In other words, it's ideal both for reflexologists and for garden use. It may not be entirely clear from the photo, but the metal surround is in Lafuma's purposeful-looking steel grey colour, which sets off the green mesh (in a nice, restrained sage green) and matching green foam armrests nicely. Altogether we think this is a great addition (and long overdue) to the Lafuma range, and we recommend it.
