What is the difference... ...people often ask us, between the padded (RSX) and Batyline (RSXA) fabric on the recliners?
In terms of comfort, very little. Some people prefer to have the inch or so of padding, some prefer the stretch of the Batyline fabric - it's about a 50:50 split in terms of numbers of people who have a preference.
The real difference is in how resistant to water the fabrics are, and therefore how easy to clean. Before they are exported to us, the padded recliners have to be treated to meet UK fire retardance regulations. This means that you do not want to get them wet, as there is a chance they may develop tidemarks like salt stains. The Batyline mesh fabric, on the other hand, is water resistant, and therefore more versatile and much easier to clean.
