Second-Hand and Clearance Items Once in a while, people ask us to sell their second-hand Lafuma equipment or other items. We are happy to help, because there are plenty of people out there who know how durable Lafuma kit is and are pleased to snap nearly-new items up at a reduced price. So now we've set up an additional section specifically for used items, or occasionally new kit as well that we want to list separately at a discount. "Weight Limits" for Lafuma recliners Quite a few people have been asking us lately about how heavy a person you can sit in a Lafuma recliner. It is true that Lafuma used to suggest a weight limit of 90 kg, or about 15 stone, for a standard recliner - but they no longer specify this. The one thing we would suggest you bear in mind is that if you do put somebody quite heavy in an RSXA (Batyline stretchy fabric) recliner, the fabric will start to stretch and sag - unlike an RSX recliner which is padded instead of stretchy. If you are concerned about weight in a Lafuma, we would guide you towards the Extra Large version in Seigle, which American suppliers suggest will happily take up to about 300 lb weight (we don't know anybody that heavy to test it on). You can find the XL recliners on the site while they are in stock - if they're not, they will be shortly. Or call us if you have any further questions about the recliners. |

 | Fleecy covers and "D" bolsters Here at the School we've gone over completely to using these fleecy covers and firm "D" section bolsters for our Lafumas - the fleecy cover is much nicer to the touch than the old towelling (and cheaper as well), and the client's feet don't sink into the firm bolsters like they do into pillows. It's made a big difference. We have the covers and bolsters in matching Navy, Purple, Baby Blue, White and Green, and you can find out more and order by clicking here. |
